I heard about this and just found this story.
"CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Federal fraud and conspiracy charges against a Cedar Rapids attorney have been dismissed after prosecutors filed a motion saying new circumstances that came to light warranted the charges being dropped."

A 20-year-old Cedar Rapids man pleaded guilty last week to stoning 50 ducks to death June 2008 at the Bever Park petting zoo.

UPDATE: At least 18 people were inside a Cedar Rapids apartment building when a fire started in an unoccupied unit Thursday morning, but all made it out safely, officials said.

The Iowa State Patrol has arrested a Cedar Rapids man for allegedly driving a motorcycle while intoxicated. Garland Anderson Jr., 31, was charged Monday with third-offense OWI and driving while barred as a habitual offender.
