More than 40 firefighters worked to put out a one-alarm fire in North Cambridge in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The fire, at the American Friends Service Committee at 2161 Mass. Ave., was contained to the two-story building and caused approximately $125,000 in damage, said Deputy Fire Chief John Gelinas.

Audrey told me about this - "Justin Martin, the longtime spokesman for Cambridge Public Schools, left the school district earlier this month after his job was eliminated in recent budget cuts. Martin, who said he had been searching for a job at the collegiate level, is now working at Community Charter School of Cambridge on Bent Street as the chief communications officer. Martin started the job Aug. 3."
