Interstate 10 near Beaumont reopened to traffic late Wednesday morning after being closed for nearly three days after a chemical spill that happened Sunday.

"On Oct. 17, 2009, Beaumont soldier Army Spc. Michael Dahl Jr. died while serving in Afghanistan. Hours later, a cross in his honor was already being erected on a canvas in Mobile, Ala. by an artist who never even met him."
