I heard about this and just found this story.
"An elderly Austin woman who was struck by a vehicle on Friday has been identified, and she is at a Rochester hospital with unknown injuries. Jeannine Birk, 72, was hit at around 8 a.m. while crossing the street in the 600 block of 12th Avenue Southwest."

My father-in-law said he heard this on the radio.
"A north Austin neighborhood is fed up with crime in the area and a simple initiative is now warning burglars to stay away."
