The Austin Police Department has suspended an officer they say hit another vehicle in June while she was checking the computer in her squad car.

An Austin police officer is being suspended after his gun went off during a foot chase. According to his disciplinary memo, Officer Jeffrey Rodriguez will serve a one-day suspension this Friday, July 16. It happened back in February. APD policy requires officers to handle their firearms responsibly at all times.
