Bus service from East Aurora to downtown Buffalo could end if proposed cutbacks floated by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority are approved, but citizens have an opportunity to be heard. Mayor Allan Kasprzak reported that the NFTA will hold a public hearing at the Orchard Park campus of Erie Community College in early February.

The Aurora City Council favors extending a property tax to help pay for transportation and infrastructure improvements. At a work session Monday night, the council agreed to move forward with a proposal to ask voters in November to extend the tax.
