The Allentown Symphony Association will introduce El Sistema Allentown, a program it hopes will change the live of local youth through music, 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday at Allentown Symphony Hall.

I heard about this and just found this story.
"ALLENTOWN - Parents, grandparents, children and the simply curious eagerly toured the new Stone Bridge Middle School last week to see the $51.5 million project that will give the Upper Freehold Regional School District some much-needed breathing room when it opens Sept. 13."

ALLENTOWN Parents from two Upper Freehold neighborhoods who joined together to fight bus stops they characterized as unsafe were relieved to be told at last week's school board meeting that their children would not be standing out on busy Route 526 in September.

My grandfather said he heard this on the radio.
"ALLENTOWN The Borough Council has introduced a bond ordinance that, if adopted, would make up to $250,000 available to cover the cost of future emergency repairs to the borough's water treatment plant and water lines."

The annual extravaganza that is the Allentown Fair opens at 4 p.m. today for the 158th time with music, rides, games, animal attractions, farm animals, educational exhibits and more. Admission is free for the night.

My cousin told me about this - "The 16-year-old stole the car Aug. 4 from outside the Little Apple Market on North Seventh Street in Allentown. The car and the child, who was not injured, were found a short time later."
